Libby Barret (b. Tyler, Texas) is an artist who received her BFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (2020). Libby utilizes objects and imagery that function as metaphors, which addresses rest, community, conversation and identity. Shown through a variety of mediums and concepts, Libby aims to bring a sense of home in all of her work. She is currently a part of the show ‘Clearing” at Vesper in Austin, Tx through June 9th. Other recent group shows include “Open Call Show” at McLennon Pen Company in Austin, Tx and “Home Body” in Albany, NY. Libby currently lives and creates in Austin, Texas.
